I can’t remember when I first became fascinated by the 1920s, but I have a feeling Chicago had something to do with it. I've always loved history and I started a general history blog, but I kept getting sidetracked by the Jazz Age research I found. So, I finally decided to start a blog about the Roaring Twenties to share all the details I learn on my writing journey.  I blog mostly about America, but I also examine the 20s in Britain, France, Germany and the world beyond.

As an aspiring novelist I write romance, fantasy, paranormal, and historical fiction. My first completed manuscript is set in the Caribbean during the 18th century Golden Age of Piracy.  I'm now working on a dark comedy of manners about race, class, and sex in the 1920s.

I've also written historical articles for magazines like World War II, and I'm a member of the Georgian Society of Jamaica.

Fun historical fact: I have an Ellis Island ancestor. My great-great grandmother came to America from Jamaica through Ellis Island in 1910.
